Private Practice – Interim Team
The interim team works with law firms in London and nationwide; our greatest success is in working with US and Top 200 firms but equally place with Legal 500 and high street practices. The reasons for hiring an interim solution can vary but include assisting with special projects, large transactions and litigation matters, maternity and holiday cover or undertaking the work whilst a permanent solicitor is being sourced or working their notice in their current position.
Typical candidates that we work may well have chosen to move away from permanent work and become professional contractors, they may have recently arrived from another jurisdiction, or they may be senior solicitors who have retired but want to keep working for six months of the year to keep their hands in legal practice and their skills active.
Paralegals & Document Review
Our paralegal and document review team place candidates on an interim and permanent basis into law firms as well as LPO’s and eDiscovery servicing providers.
Much of our business comes from repeat business where we have a strong history of placing teams of reviewers or experienced paralegals. Typically, the candidates we work with will have completed their LPC, BPTC or LLM and have gained at least 6 months of legal experience. We also assist candidates who have already secured a training contract and are looking for London legal jobs in the interim. A large part of our work is sourcing candidates with language skills. We actively look for candidates who can read, write, and speak European, Asian, Scandinavian and African languages. These skills are used for pre-litigation disclosure, translations, liaising with clients and trial preparation.
Our advice to anyone looking to enter the paralegal market is to gain as much legal work experience as possible; apply for vacation schemes, work experience, shadowing or part time work. We find this makes an applicant stand out as being proactive in a competitive market.
