LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority based in South London, for an experienced housing litigation lawyer on a locum basis. You will be offered a 3-month contract initially, with potential to extend.
You must have experience managing a team handling a varied caseload of general housing litigation matters including homelessness, allocations, and disrepair. You will also handle a caseload of housing law and general litigation matters on behalf of the council.
Previous UK local government is essential.
To apply you will:
- Be an England and Wales qualified lawyer, barrister or chartered legal executive Be able to demonstrate substantial experience handling a caseload of general housing litigation matters including homelessness, allocations, and disrepair Be able to demonstrate experience managing a team handling general litigation matters Be able to attend the office on a hybrid working basis of 1-2 days per week in the office Available on no more than a 4-week notice period
The salary for this role will be offered on an hourly basis, and is negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
