Planning Lawyer Locum

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority based in the South-East of England for a locum/temporary planning lawyer on a part-time basis of 21 hours per week. The contract will start with an initial 3-month period and has potential to extend from there on a rolling basis.

You will handle a caseload of planning, environment, development and highways matters, including S106 and S278 agreements. Previous UK local government is an essential requirement.

To apply you will be:

  • An England and Wales qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive with minimum 2 years’ PQE Able to demonstrate previous experience handling a caseload of planning matters in a local government environment Available on no more than a 2-week notice period

The salary for this role is £50-£60/hour, dependent on experience.
